On September 16 th, a symposium on the organization of international communication capacity building organized by the Zhenjiang Returned Overseas Chinese Federation was held in Jingjiang Hall on the first floor of Building 8, Biyuyuan, Zhenjiang. Jiang Yonghua, Vice Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Deputy Director of the Language and Culture Center, attended the meeting and made a speech, actively offering advice and suggestions for strengthening the organization of international communication capabilities.
Jiang Yonghua proposed from three aspects how to further strengthen the organization's international communication capacity building. The first is to update our understanding. We must establish cultural confidence and cultural equality in the process of Chinese teaching and Chinese cultural dissemination. At the same time, we must pay equal attention to foreigners and overseas Chinese, and realize that overseas Chinese are very important in our overseas Chinese teaching and Chinese cultural dissemination work. The second is that the fundamental purpose of Chinese teaching and the spread of Chinese culture is to help the world change its attitude towards China, so that they are willing to understand China, listen to Chinese stories, and can tell some beautiful Chinese stories in their own languages. Third, we should take the newly issued International Chinese Language Education Standards for Chinese Proficiency levels as the starting point to further improve visa policies that adapt to the new standards, so that China has its own system in the field of international language standards, international language market and international cultural communication market, and give full play to the strength of overseas Chinese and the role of foreigners who know China and are friends of China. In this way, it opens a window for foreign countries to understand China in a real and three-dimensional way.
Ai Hui, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Federation, Wang Yongxin, Party Secretary and Chairman of Zhenjiang Overseas Chinese Federation, and Huang Bei, Secretary General of Zhenjiang Overseas Chinese Federation attended the symposium.
